Ghazni - Capital of Islamic Culture

The Afghan city of Ghazni has been Capital of Islamic Culture in 2013. For this reason restoration work at the city wall was done.

With the help of satellite sensor technology GEOSCAP supported the documentation of the present state and the strategy of work.

GEOSCAP put in place:
◌ A high resolution 3D-model of the city wall and of all buildings
◌ GIS with additionally integrated highly precise DGPS-data of a field campaign
◌ Embedding into a photogrammetrically generated elevation model of the region based on GeoEye-stereo images
